Homestead Exemption
Reimbursement
The 2015 Regular Legislative Session
Week twelve of the 2015 Regular
Legislative Session is coming to an end.
The deadline for conference reports on
appropriations and revenue bills to be filed
is Saturday March 28, 2015. The Mississippi
Legislature is set to SINE DIE Sunday April 5,
2015.
Conferees Named for
$52 Million in Local
Infrastructure Funding
Senate Bill 2870 is the appropriation for
State Aid Road Construction. SB2870 is in
conference for further conferencing.
Please contact your local legislators and
request that they support the version of
SB2870 totaling $52 million for county
infrastructure funding.
Senate Conferees: Eugene “Buck” Clarke,
Willie Simmons, Brice Wiggins
Senate Bill 2864 contains the homestead
exemption reimbursement. Both the
Senate and House chamber passed out this
reimbursement at $84,454,641.00. (This
is level funding from last year)
$87,150,000.00 is required for “FULL”
funding. NOTE: SB2870 is in conference
committee for further conferencing.)

request that they support “FULL” funding
of
the
homestead
exemption
reimbursement at $87,150,000.00.
