A HUGE thank you to the chairman of our Silent Auction, Abby Becker, and to her assistant, Susy Allen. We are grateful for the many hours they have put in to plan, organize and orchestrate this event. We also appreciate all the members who served on the committee, volunteered the day of the auction, contributed items, brought guests, and supported the event with their enthusiastic attendance. We'll have a report of the results of the auction in the next newsletter.
I want to recognize the effort and fine work done by our membership chairman, Elizabeth Kloppenborg. Her last few months have been busy with intake of new members, processing information from returning members, and compiling our new directory.
In continuing our pattern of offering interesting, fun luncheons, you will want to be sure you attend December's
Peterloon event. Even if you have toured the elegant mansion before, this time you will see the home dressed in its
Christmas finery. Our special, unforgettable guest will get your holiday season off to a jolly start. You won't want to miss this day!
As this article and the directory head off to the printers, I'm proud to announce we have 128 members of Eastside
Newcomers Club. That doesn't mean you can stop your recruiting efforts. . . the more the merrier! New members may join at any time, and their contact information will be published in the newsletter, which can be transferred in to your directory via the old fashioned, original cut and paste or copy method. So keep spreading the good word about all the fun we have.

For those of you who marked the "Do not use my photo on the website" option on your membership form, we want you to be aware that there will not be a photo directory on the website. The photos would primarily be candid shots of activities and luncheons to showcase events as a publicity tool, and people would not necessarily have to be identified. If you have changed your mind, and would like to give your consent for photo usage, please contact Lynne Bockman. Also, if you did not give your consent and are present when a photo is being shot, please step out of the frame. It is not my intention of violating your wishes not to be photographed. It is difficult to remember the 20 or so who asked not to be photographed. Thank you for understanding.

JANUARY 15 LUNCHEON
Ladies, we know it seems so far away but start looking for any small old item or keepsake that you have wondered if it's of any value. Start looking for items such as a vase, figurine, glassware, old linens, silver, pewter, or that old toy you played with as a child. This will be ENC's version of the Antique
Road Show at the Mariemont Inn on Wooster Pike.
Please note: this date is a change from our usual 2nd
Wed. luncheons!
