3 Jul 15, 0843 hours. Deceptive Practices. 4700 N NewEngland Ave. Victim stated an unk M/W subject pretended to work on his outside air conditioner
which he paid him $535.00 for the service. Subject had given the victim a fictitious company name and number. HHPD Detective Division investigating.
3 Jul 15, 2005 hours. Forgery. 4870 N Harlem Ave. (Twin’s Gyros). Complainant stated an F/B subject had passed a counterfeit $100.00 bill. Incident
captured on CCTV. HHPD Detective Division investigating.
10 Jul 15, 2131 hours. Underage drinking/ Possession and consumption of alcohol. Three underage subjects were brought to the station and issued citations
for underage drinking while at the Norridge park fest.
12 Jul 15, 2151 hours. Possession of Alcohol by minor/ Resisting arrest. 4631 N Overhill (Norridge Park). A M/W juvenile was arrested for possession of
Alcohol and Resisting arrest after being stopped by officers for having open alcohol. Subject was brought to station and later turned over to his mother.
Subject will be petitioned into Juvenile court.
15-24 Jul 15, 0000-1513 hours. Identity Theft. 5011 N Oriole Ave. Victim stated that unk off(s) had used his identity to make purchases showing owed monies
to Verizon, Comcast, Grant and weber. HHPD Detective Division investigating.
Burglary / Thefts / Criminal Damage to Property
1 Jul 15, 1000 hours. Theft. 6916 W Forest Preserve Drive. Victim stated that an unk off had made an unauthorized withdrawal with his Comerica Bank
Mastercard. HHPD Detective Division investigating.
2 Jul 15, 1509-1522 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated that an F/W subject left the store with a cart of
groceries worth $122.06 without paying. Incident recorded on CCTV. A Raffarlli, Francine M F/W 70 YOA, 3820 Emerson Dr, Schiller Park was charged with
Misdemeanor Retail Theft on a signed complaint.
4 Jul 15, 1504-1507 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated an M/B subject had placed a bottle of Ciroc vodka inside
his backpack worth $31.99 and left the store without paying. Incident recorded on CCTV. A Kelly, Louis J M/B 20 YOA, 1607 Stratford Ave, Westchester was
charged with Misdemeanor retail Theft on a signed complaint.
4 Jul 15, 1620-1636 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated a F/H subject placed 2 bottles of Seagram’s whiskey
inside of her purse worth $57.98 and left the store without paying. Incident recorded on CCTV. A Castillo, Rosemary was charged with Misdemeanor Retail
Theft on a signed complaint.
7 Jul 15, 1300-2100 hours. Theft. 4631 N Overhill Ave. (Norridge Park). Victim stated his son’s red Schwinn 20” BMX bicycle was taken by unk off(s).
8-11 Jul 15, 1830-1530 hours. Garage Burglary. 7251 W Leland Ave. Victim stated that unk off(s) had taken two bicycles from his garage via service door. No
description given except older bikes.
12-13 Jul 15, 1700-0715 hours. Criminal Damage to Property. 4740 N Newcastle Ave. Victim stated that unk off(s) had punctured his gray 2015 Mitsubishi
Outlander SE tires with an unk sharp tool.
13-14 Jul 15, 2200-0715 hours. Burglary to Motor Vehicle. 4771 N Newcastle Ave. Victim stated that unk off(s) had broken out her silver 2009 Nissan Altima
passenger window and removed a Viper radar detector worth $375.00 and a Garmin navigational system valued at $250.00.
15 Jul 15, 1630-1860 hours. Theft. 7301 W Wilson. (Quality Control). Victim stated that unk off(s) had cut off his work locker padlock and removed his wallet
containing IL ID card, IL DL, $400.00 in U.S.C, and a Ventra Transit card.
15 Jul 15, 1500 hours. Theft. 4631 N Overhill. Norridge Park. Victim stated that unk off(s) had taken his black Fitmac handlebars off of his bicycle valued at
$50.00.
18 Jul 15, 1345 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated a M/W subject, 35-45 YOA, stocky build wearing a white T
shirt and Khaki shorts left the store without paying for 2 bottles of Silver Oak wine valued at $199.98. Incident captured on CCTV.
18 Jul 15, 1516 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated a F/W subject, 60 YOA, short build, wearing a blue shirt and
black pants left the store without paying for 2 bottles of Sutter Home wine and I bottle of Gallo family Grigo having a total value of $13.70. Incident captured
on CCTV.
18 Jul 15, 0654 hours. Burglary/Forced. 4750 N Ronald St. (Public Storage). Victim stated an unk off(s) had cut off the lock to his storage locker with items
being missing and disturbed. HHPD Detective Division learned that a total of 14 storage lockers had been broken into with items being taken. HHPD
Detectives have an active ongoing investigation with these incidents. Update: HHPD Detectives have charged a Rosario, Freddy M/W 35 YOA, 3205 N
Normandy Chicago with Felony Burglary and Felony Theft for the Public storage break in.
19 Jul 15, 2245 hours. Theft. 4622 N Harlem. (Wing Stop). Victim stated that an unk M/W subject had taken his unlocked black PureFix bicycle with red rims
and red tape on the handle bars valued at $350.00. The offender was described as 15 YOA, 130 LBS wearing a blue shirt last seen traveling S/B on Harlem
Ave.
20 Jul 15, 1200-1800 hours. Burglary/Forced. 4809 N Rutherford Ave. Victim stated she discovered her grandfather’s apartment window open and that unk
off(s) had taken his 14-16 gold karat ring and a 50” Sanyo flat screen television. HHPD Detective Division investigating.
21 Jul 15, 1750 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated a M/W subject, 5’7” tall, 190 LBS, white T-shirt, Beige shorts,
grey shoes left the store without paying for a bottle of Silver Oaks wine and a bottle of Grey Goose valued at $157.98, concealing merchandise inside of his
shopping cart. Incident captured on CCTV.
22 Jul 15, 1444 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention stated an elderly F/W subject, 5’4” tall, 180 LBS, 70-80 YOA, blue shirt,
black slacks removed wine from Gallo and Sutter Home four packs placing the bottles inside her purse valued at $12.48. Subject left the lot in a white Cadillac
IL plate # WWR459. Incident captured on CCTV.
22 Jul 15, 1430-1440 hours. Theft. 4631 N Overhill (Norridge Park). Victim stated he left his unlocked purple Fit Bicycle with purple rims, chain and grips in
front of the field house and upon returning unk off(s) had taken the $400.00 bike.
24-25 Jul 15, 1352-0636 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated that a M/W subject had taken wine and vodka on 3
previous occasions being July 12,13,21. The subject conceals the alcohol in his shopping cart after using the self -serve mobile register and leaves the store.
Taken was $501.50 worth of alcohol. The offender is described as a M/W 5’7” tall, 190 LBS always wearing grey shoes and beige shorts. Incident captured on
CCTV.
25 Jul 15, 1530 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated he was holding an elderly F/W subject for previous retail
thefts. A Lutfy, Lois A F/W 79 YOA, 3033 N Paris, River Grove was charged with three counts of Retail Theft on signed Misdemeanor complaints.
26 Jul 15, 0303 hours. Criminal Trespass to Vehicle. Sunnyside /Newland. Victim stated his friend took his vehicle without his permission taking his keys from
his apartment. MVA investigation led to a Rocco, Nicholas R M/W 18 YOA, 4356 N Sayre Ave, Norridge was charged with Criminal Trespass to Vehicle on a
signed complaint and 4 traffic offenses.
27 Jul 15, 1355 hours. Felony Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated he was holding a M/W subject who had taken
groceries without paying today and on 30 Jun 15, incidents captured on CCTV. A Barker, Anthony M/W 39 YOA, 6257 W Cornelia, Chicago was charged with
two counts of Felony Retail Theft on signed complaints.
26-27 Jul 15, 1400-1215 hours. Theft from Vehicle. 5102 N Odell Ave. Victim stated unk off(s) had taken her 1998 Chevy Cavaliers Catalytic converter.
27 Jul 15, 1845-1900 hours. Theft. 4631 N Overhill. (Norridge Park). Victim stated unk off(s) had taken his Grey Lite Mongoose bicycle valued at $250.00.
27 Jul 15, 0130-2220 hours. Theft from Vehicle. 7538 W Winnemac. Victim stated unk off(s) had taken his 2004 Tan Chevy’s catalytic converter.
25-28 Jul 15, 1520 hours. Theft from Vehicle. 7446 W Carmen. Victim stated unk off(s) had taken his 2003 Odyssey EX catalytic converter.
28 Jul 15, 1400-1513 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated a M/W subject had placed produce, deli items and
beer inside a cart valued at $86.49 and left the store without paying. Incident captured on CCTV. Subject stopped by store security. A Bucio, Javier M/W 68
YOA 4847 N Harlem, Chicago was charged with Misdemeanor Retail Theft on a signed complaint.
28 Jul 15, 1600-2000 hours. Theft. 4631 N Overhill. (Norridge Park). Victim stated unk off(s) had taken her black alloy 20” tire and rim from her locked Giant
Escape bicycle.
29-30 Jul 15, 1700-0527 hours. Garage Burglary. 4707 N Oconto. Victim stated that unk off(s) had entered his unlocked garage service door and had taken a
Montague mountain bicycle, grey in color with a red stripe valued at $600.00 and a white, silver and red Schwinn bicycle valued at $300.00.
30 Jul 15, 1524-1601 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated a M/W subject, 20’s, grey Blackhawks shirt, black
shorts, black White Sox cap grey shoes along with a F/W subject, 20’s, black tank top, shorts and shoes with a white purse placed 2 bottles of Koval whiskey,
3 bottles of Koval bourbon, 2 bottles of Bulleit bourbon and 1 bottle of Blantons bourbon into a tan Mariano’s bag valued at $415.30 then left the store
without paying. Incident captured on CCTV.
Crimes against Persons
13 Jul 15, 1700-1712 hours. Domestic Battery. 7171 W Gunnison. Victim stated that her boyfriend had come to her apartment to
return/retrieve property and they had a physical altercation over her cell phone and that he had grabbed her wrists and neck with his
hands hurting her. The boyfriend then left the scene. HHPD officers had been notified and later arrested the boyfriend at his parent’s
residence. A Jadwin, Myles J 21 YOA, 7171 W Gunnison HH was charged with Domestic Battery on a signed Misdemeanor complaint and
was then held for a bond hearing.
17 Jul 15, 0320 hours. Possession of Cannabis/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Traffic offenses. 6400 block Montrose. Vehicle stopped
for traffic offenses. A Cabrera, Julian M/H 20 YOA, 2855 N Paulding, Chicago was later charged with Possession of Cannabis, Possession of
Drug Paraphernalia and traffic offenses.
18 Jul 15, 0728 hours. Domestic Battery/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 7409 W Winona. Victim stated he was involved in a physical
argument with his girlfriend who struck him numerous times causing visible scratch marks to his neck and back. Placed into custody for
Domestic Battery and Possession of drug Paraphernalia (needles found in purse) was a Warchalowski, Amanda M F/W 27 YOA, 10423 W
Fullerton Ave, Melrose Park.
27 Jul 15, 0020 hours. Battery. Victim was confronted by a resident from his building who was swearing at him telling him to move out of
the area and pushed him twice in the chest. A Sabic, Esmir M/W 38 YOA, 4345 N Newcastle was arrested for Battery on a signed
Misdemeanor complaint.
28 Jul 15, 1709 hours. Battery. 4432 N Nagle. Victim stated she had an argument with a female neighbor over a parking situation and
that the neighbor confronted her on her bicycle and rammed into her left leg while on the bike. A Hadden, Tina M F/W 45 YOA, 6246 W
Eastwood, Chicago was charged with Misdemeanor Battery on a signed complaint.
Seniors
Home repair scams/ Ruse burglaries. Reminder: Do not allow anyone into your residence that you do not know and didn’t call for service.
Scam artists knock on your door offering to repair something in or around your home for a very low price. They ask you to pay upfront and you
will never see them again or if you allow them inside your residence, they will distract you and steal your valuables.
All Village Employees/PublicWworks have IDs on them at all times. Ask for ID and call 911 for verification.
