AGIF Scholarship Page – 5 – American GI Forum Men of Saginaw Scholarship Application Checklist Application Instructions Please read the following instructions carefully in order to be an eligible applicant: All applicants must submit the following documents and meet all the requirements of the American GI Forum (AGIF) of Saginaw scholarship application checklist to be eligible for consideration. All required materials must be mailed with your application. Your application must be complete when mailed in. Graduating high school senior or first time in college entering freshman for fall 2014. 1. Provide an official AGIF application or a complete photocopy of an official AGIF application. Complete all sections including a typed Personal Essay. Use the space provided on the application or an additional sheet. 2. Provide high school transcripts (grades must include your first semester of your senior year). 3. Provide proof of college admission (a copy of your letter of acceptance). 4. Provide a recent photograph (2X3), a head shot not a full body photo. Black and White preferred, but color will be accepted. Photo will not be returned. 5. Applicant must be of Hispanic origin. 6. Applicant must have a high school grade point average of 2.5 or above. 7. All applicants must carry 12 credit hours or more per semester during the 2014-15 academic years. Currently Enrolled College or University Student: 1. Provide an official AGIF Scholarship application or a complete photocopy of an AGIF application. Complete all sections including the TYPED Personal Essay. Use the space provided on the application for your essay or an additional sheet. 2. College or University transcripts must contain your name and the name of your institution and must not be hand-written in order to be accepted. Do not wait to complete your current semester if your current semester ends after the application due date or would otherwise not be included with your application.
