International Course in Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound Part II: Update: Liver & extra-hepatic use of US contrast agents, new developments Course Director: HP Weskott Pre-Course: 24th October 2013 25th - 27th October 2013 Hannover – Germany Central Ultrasound Department Klinikum Region Hannover, Siloah Hospital Dear colleagues, After a sucessful first CEUS course (part one) in November 2012, I would like to invite you to attent the follow up course to be held in Hannover from October 24th to 27th 2013. Never before has a new technique changed the field of ultrasound in such a revolutional way like the use of ultrasound contrast media. The International CEUS Course part II is aiming at two goals: deepening the understanding of CEUS in liver and renal diseases and secondly demonstrating the wide range of extra-hepatic indications for using US contrast agents. These new indications have been subject to the EFSUMB Guidelines which just recently have been published. Again well known international radiologists and internists in this field will give lectures and train small groups of attendees in hands-on-sessions. During this course there will be again time for individual training on the US machines and to work on clinical cases – from easy to difficult ones to interpret. At the end of each day there will be a dedicated session for discussing cases you brought with you or mailed us with the experts. Additionally representatives from the industry will inform on the precause day you about latest and future technical developments, followed by hands on sessions on the latest US devices. We hope you will benefit from attending this course -a European School projectwhich again is supported by the EFSUMB. I wish you a successful educational course and a joyful stay in Hannover Dr. Hans-Peter Weskott Course Director Pre – Course: Thursday, October, 24th Afternoon Session: Chair: HP Weskott 14:00 – 18:00: Contrast Agents, US Equipment 14:00 – 16:20 CEUS: Latest technical developments Registration: 12:00 – 17:00 14:00 – 14:20 14:20 – 14:35 14:35 – 14:50 14:50 – 15:05 15:05 – 15:20 15:20 – 15:35 15:35 – 15:50 15:50 – 16:05 16:05 – 16:20 16:20 - 16:45 16:45 - 18:00 Christian Greis, Bracco Matthew Bruce, SuperSonics Imaging Wesam Ibrahim, Toshiba Peter Hildebrandt, Siemens Ludwig Isken, Philips Horst-Peter Johae, GE Healthcare Bibby Ellison, Hitachi Steffgen, Zonare NN, Samsung Coffee Break Hands on: Documentation, fusion imaging, CEUS and small parts, TIC, VueBox, etc Friday, October 25th BASICS, LIVER, GALLBLADDER & KIDNEY Morning Session.
