3D animation/visualization of mutations in large-scale gene networks Cancer is a disease in which the function of genes is disrupted by mutations. Recent technological advances allow measurement of all mutation in the DNA of a tumor. In this way it has been discovered that tumor DNA contains many more mutations in many more genes than was anticipated. The reason is that genes are organized into so-called pathways or networks that describe how genes can regulate and interact with each other. In this bachelor project you will design and implement a 3D visualization that allows a biologist or clinician to inspect gene networks along with the mutations that occurred in the genes. The visualization should enable smooth and easy browsing of the network and mutation data, much like playing a 3D computer game.
