Job Description: Geriatric Psychologist for Senior PsychCare Texas Regions!




Senior PsychCare (SPC) provides evaluations, psychiatric management, and mental health services
to nursing home residents. Due to recent expansion, we are seeking to add a licensed Psychologist
to treat Geriatric Psychiatric patients in a Nursing Home setting.
Positions are available in the Houston/Beaumont, Dallas / Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio
Regions of Senior PsychCare.
Clinicians function as part of a multidisciplinary team that provides care for seniors and their
families in nursing homes and/or assisted living facilities. Our multi-disciplinary team realizes that
older adults have special physical, emotional, and social needs. Understanding this, the geriatric
psychiatrist, with a team of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and psychotherapists (LCSW,
LPC, PhD/PsyD), takes a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment.
Duties include:
 Providing psychotherapy to nursing home residents as well as some supervision of LPC's.
Qualifications:
 Part-time/PRN/ Full-time positions available
 Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in clinical or counseling psychology or a related field of psychology is
required.
 Minimum of two (2) years post-doctoral experience in providing psychological evaluation of
patients is required.
 Current licensure as a Licensed Psychologist from the Texas State Board of Psychologists is
required.
 Must be willing to travel to nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the assigned geographic
region.
