Wu Laoshi(2A), Xie Laoshi(2B), Cheng
Laoshi(2C), and Li Laoshi(2D) would like
to express our appreciation to all the
parents who supported our events!
The Read-A-Thon ended on Thursday.
Congratulations to everyone who
participated!
We had the Storybook Character Parade on
Thursday. Students brought their favorite
story characters to life, and we all had a
good time!
We also received many food donations for
the “We Scare Hunger” food drive. Your
help is greatly appreciated.
As it gets cooler outside, please send
proper outfit with your student for outdoor
recess and gym class.
Math
This week we reviewed weight measurement,
including kilograms, grams, pounds and
ounces. We also started learning
multiplication. There were many hands-on
activities to help students understand the
concept. Students practiced writing the
equations for multiplication problems and
solving the multiplication questions with the
help of pictures and addition.
Chinese
This week we revisited lessons 1through
4. We practiced reading and reciting the
four lessons, and did exercises to review
vocabulary, sentence structure and
reading comprehension.
We also reviewed the classic Chinese
poem <风> (wind), and learned a new
one <山行>(Trip to a Mountain) .
