Dear Rally Coordinator,
On behalf of The Louisiana High School Rally Association (LHRSA), we send our best wishes to you and your
students for another successful year of teaching and learning. In conjunction with each new academic year, like
you, we are busy planning for the most successful District and State Rallies where your brightest students will
have an opportunity to represent your school in 80 competitions.
Accompanying this memo you will find the LHSRA 2012-2013 Membership Registration Form. The deadline for
submission of this form and your school’s State Rally annual dues is Friday, December 7, 2012. Please note that
dues and registrations submitted after December 7, 2012 will be considered late and a late fee of $75 will be
assessed. Schools that do not submit their dues and registrations by March 1, 2013, will be disqualified from
competition in both District and State Rallies for the 2012-2013 school year. Please make checks payable to
LHSRA and mail with the completed Membership Registration Form to the address below.
Please note the dues by division in the chart on the Membership Registration Form. This much needed revenue
will help maintain the operations of the Association as costs continue to escalate, create test bank questions for
all of our literary events and, most importantly, support and conduct the District and State Rallies.
All District Rallies except South Central District at Nicholls State University will take place on Saturday, March 23,
2013. The South Central District Rally will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013. As with all previous rallies, each
District Rally sets its own dues structure and deadlines that may vary from district to district. Please remember,
you must be a member of both a District Rally and State Rally in order to participate. Contact your District Rally
director for further details. The list of districts and all contact information can be found on the web at
www.lsu.edu/rally.
State Rally will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Louisiana State University. We look forward to your
school’s participation this year as together we make 2012-2013 the best ever for you and our students!
