COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This is a specialized “hands-on” workshop in pediatric dentistry, which covers case selection,
and the principles and techniques for sizing, preparation, fitting and cementation of esthetic
crowns (Preveneered Stainless Steel crowns as well as Zirconia crowns) in pediatric dentistry.
Clinical recommendations will be reviewed as well as practical tips to overcome common
related problems in placing esthetic crowns with controversial issues around cementation,
wear, and durability.
At the completion of this workshop, the clinician will understand and be capable of case
selection, tooth preparation, proper fitting and cementation of esthetic crowns in anterior
and posterior primary teeth. Clinicians will be confident to offer parents and children a new
esthetic option for full coverage restorations for anterior and posterior primary teeth.
