Objective # 3 Create accountability measures Objective # 4 Engage all of H.O.M.E.S stakeholders to continuously improve H.O.M.E.S cultural competency program. H.O.M.E.S has established a harmonious partnership/relationship with the Sto`Lo Nation as well as Seabird Island. Many stakeholders attended the AbbyFest Multi-Cultural Festival in September 2015. H.O.M.E.S has a great working relationship with Abbotsford Community Services via sharing of resources etc. Policy A.50 is reviewed on an annual basis. See Objective #1. Interview and survey questions to Stakeholders include a “Cultural Competency” question to allow for assessment. Reviewed annually. We encourage and promote all stakeholders to attend the Abby Fest. Ongoing. Objective # 5 Meet the needs of persons served in a holistic and culturally competent manner. Each person served has areas to express their cultural preferences within their ISP. These are reviewed annually. Nov 2015 Whenever possible, we match caregivers with similar first languages to those of persons served. I.e. AJ’s home and Jangeet. Our website has a translator option.
