"SUNDAY FUNDAY" ETHYL AND TANK STYLE A local Ohio State campus bar offers great food, great drinks and great prices that make for a perfect "Sunday funday." COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 28, 2014- Sunday can be dreadful because that means that the good times that Friday and Saturday brought are over and that work starts again on Monday. Ethyl and Tank is a coffee shop, a restaurant, a full bar and an arcade that makes it the perfect place for a "Sunday funday." "Sunday funday," a popular day for college students, and a perfect excuse to continue the weekend festivities. The bloody mary bar The bloody mary bar. Credit-Nora Cromer $5 bloody marys. There's no good brunch without a bloody mary. The bar offers four different homemade mixes: regular, bold, spicy and green chili. People can also choose from ten different hot sauces and 12 different spices. They also offer pickles, celery, jalapenos, horseradish and olives. It's always Absolute Premium Vodka. You can choose between, original, cilantro, peppar or bacon vodka. "You get an once and a half of vodka and then have a field day at the bar," said Pease. "Our bloody mary bar is really popular, because anyone can get whatever they want," said Kailey Pease, the manager of Ethyl and Tank. " Anyone can make it as spicy as they want or as bland as they want. For $5 you get an ounce and a half of vodka and then have a field day at the bar." The $5 bloody mary bar isn't the only special they have. From 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., there is $3 mimosas, $2.25 Irish breakfast shots and a delicious menu to chose from. Their brunch menu is a perfect blend of breakfast and lunch food. The Food Crème Brule crepes-Credit: Nora Cromer "If you're hung over, get the tank pancakes," said Pease. "If you're feeling something light, go with the breakfast tacos, if you're really hungry go for the chicken and waffle sandwich, but if you're hung over, get the tank pancakes," said Pease. They have everything from breakfast to brisket, along with 40 plus taps of beer. They have an arcade, a patio and two floors of tables. Lauren Merle, a third year student at Ohio State and a bartender said, "I hate working on Sundays because I've never been able to enjoy our bloody mary bar." Merle works every Sunday and says that people go there for all types of occasions. It's perfect for birthdays, family visits, beer tasting, watching a sporting event and just hanging out. Lynn Lipps, a second year student at Ohio State and a server, said how much she loves working on Sundays. "The brunch crowd is really fun and laid back. If you're hungover, they're hungover too," Said Lipps. The brunch lasts from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and then the happy hour starts shortly after at 3 p.m. Ethyl and Tank also offers any drink of your choice at their full bar. It opened in February 2014, and it has maintained its popularity. Ethyl and Tank is a coffee shop, bar, restaurant, student hangout and an arcade. They have 40 plus beers, and any type of drink you could want. They have happy hour on the weekdays from 3pm.-9pm. and a weekend happy hour from 2pm.-7pm. Ethyl and Tank is an eclectic bar that is open everyday from 11am.-2am., and is 21+ after 9pm. It has vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options and is kid friendly.
