Documents) : 205.88 Crore Appointed Date(LOA) : 31-Aug-2007 Date of Concession Agreement : 18-Dec-2007 Date of Commencement : 15 June-2008 Period of Completion : 24 Months Scheduled date of Completion : 18-June-2010 INTRODUCTION The National Highway No. 1 originates from Delhi and traverses through the States of Haryana and Punjab and terminates at Wagha Border. The Project is 4-lane from km 456.100 to km 492.030 Amritsar- Wagha Section of NH-1 in the State of Punjab on BOT Annuity Basis under operation & maintenance. In route it passes through urban/semi urban areas of Amritsar bypass location at Majitha road, Fathegarh Churian road, Ajnala Airport road, Ram Tirath road, Khasa, Attari and Military Cantonment etc. with provision for service roads and one Underpass on Ajnala road crossing and providing Bridge and Culverts and improving junctions etc. on BOT Annuity Basis. 2 DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT HIGHWAY The Project Highway is 4-lane vide having one meter vide paved shoulders on either side from Km 456.100 to Km 492.030. The condition of payment is generally fair to good. An index map of the Project Highway is given at the serial No 2.11. 2.1 ‘START’ and ‘END’ of the Project Highway The Project Highway starts from Chainage at Km 456/100 at Verka Chowk Junction , Amritsar and End Chainage at Km 492.030 at Wagha Border . As per design Chainage, the actual length of Project Highway is 35.930 Km (492.030-456.100=35.930 Km.) 2.2 Latitudes and Longitudes The Project Highway generally lies between latitudes 31.39 N and 31.36 N and longitudes 74.55 E and 74.34 E. 2.3 Terrain The road traverses through plain terrain 2.4 Climate The climate features of the areas covered by the Project Highway are:Max temperature: Min. temperature: Rainfall (normal): 2.5 46.30 C -0.20 C 813.2 mm ROW Details The details of Right –of-Way (ROW) are given in Table: A-1 Table: - A-1 Details of ROW Chainage From (Km.)
