Initially the enforcement officer will be focusing on: Nuisance Abatement Bylaw – untidy or unsightly property, maintenance of yards and safety concerns Traffic Bylaw – parking, (vehicular & trailers) etc. Copies of these bylaws are available online on the Town’s website at www. willowbunch.ca or available at the Town Office The Town’s Water Fill Station is now functional again. NOTE: At the September 10th Town Council meeting, Town Council will be implementing a new Water & Sewer Rates Bylaw to reflect increase costs of water treatment operations. Thanks to Mitch Bruneau who donated his compactor and to Wayne Therrien for his help. WILLOW BUNCH TOURISM COMMITTEE Willow Bunch Tourism hosted 16 guests from the surrounding museums, organizations and tourism committees as well as a representative from Tourism Saskatchewan on August 13. The group gathered at the Hills of Home Centre for their morning meeting and then were served lunch. Afterwards, they headed to the Jean Louis Legare Regional Park and toured the WB Golf Course. Upon their return, they were invited for a tour of the museum. To cap off the day, they finalized their meeting at the Hills of Home Centre and enjoyed coffee and snacks. The guests were very impressed with our community, the golf course, park and museum as well as the other amenities we have to offer. Thank you Jean Lemieux for being the Tour Guide, the Hills of Home for the nice BBQ lunch, Warren & Caroline Mills and to all who volunteered to make this day the success it was. WILLOW BUNCH MUSEUM The Jean Louis Legare/Metis/Sitting Bull Room upgrading is scheduled to begin this September. We have met with Jean Rivard, our associate advisor who has been busy contacting and collecting First Nation artifacts and preparing to assemble a Virtual Tipi. We have also met with Professor Evelyn Seigfried from the Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Regina who came down with one of her co-workers, to visit our museum and has agreed to work closely with us on this project. Under the waterworks rate policy the bylaw, the water rate of $17.00 for the first 3,000 gallons of water and $0.40 per 100 gallons in excess of 3,000 gallons, as adopted under Bylaw 215/07, dated January 10, 2007.
