No abbreviations, no bracketing for unnumbered pages, use “approximately” (not “ca.”), use
“that is” (not “i.e.”); no recording both bibliographic and physical volumes (“5 volumes” not “8 v.
in 5”)
Content type, media type, and carrier type are entered in an RDA record in 336, 337, and 338. This is
an example for a printed book with text content:

490: Series transcription: no abbreviations; no rule to substitute Arabic numerals for Roman
