FOCUS – PRELIMINARY/CLEARING MOVES
Start
1. Set up cones in groups of four
2. Players move in the direction of arrows – going through each square and returning by
jogging to the start
3. Must do one preliminary or clearing move within the square
Error Detection
1. Not pushing strongly off during each phase of the movement
2. Eyes not up looking when doing all phases of the movement
3. Preliminary movement not effective needs to be strong enough to convince defence of
movement

Defender first works at 50% during first run throughs
Defender increases work to 100% when you feel players are successfully completing
