Families for Ethical Education Opens Season with New Director Amy Blake, Sunday, September 27th, 11:00am Families for the Ethical Education Initiative (FEEI), a program sponsored by The Ethical Culture Society of Essex County in Maplewood will welcome Ms. Amy Blake as the director of their Educational Initiative. Ms. Blake has been a teacher in the Millburn School District for over 15 years. She is dedicated to nurturing global citizenship along with academics in her classroom. Ms. Blake holds a certification from the Institute For The Advancement of Philosophy For Children to teach children how to live deep, questioning, philosophical lives. Through the arts and exploration of the self, Ms. Blake believes that we can grow children into kind, caring, compassionate, human beings with a worldview beyond themselves. We welcome all to attend the first Sunday morning program at 11:00 on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at The Ethical Culture Society of Essex County, 516 Prospect Street in Maplewood. Ms. Blake will be joined by singer/songwriter, activist Joe Jencks. Joe has worked alongside Ms. Blake and with a school wide songwriting project based on character work done within the school.
