India, the traditions and Bollywood
A dance scene that shows off the excitement of Bollywood
Holidays, amazing clothing, Bollywood, and unique traditions. All of these
characteristics represent Indians and their culture. In this article, the reader will
learn about Indian traditions, Bollywood, and some types of clothing.
Although there are many celebrations throughout the many regions of India,
the most important ones are Diwali, Dushera, Holi, and Rakhi Bandhan. Diwali is
celebrated in honor of the god Rama returning to Ajodhya from fourteen years of exile.
Most Indians light candles known as Diyas and float them in water. In India, people play
with firecrackers and other highly dangerous things. Along with this, they dress up in
traditional Indian clothing and honor the goddess of prosperity, Lakshmi. Dushera is the
celebration of the end of a farming year and is celebrated in the fall after harvesting.
Farmers and other families buy dishes and gold coins with part of the previous year’s
income. Holi is the celebration of a new farming year and is an especially significant
holiday because there is lots of farmland in India. The Indian culture celebrates Holi by
throwing colored powder and sand at everyone. Make sure to wear old clothing because
you won’t be able to wash out all the colors. Finally Rakhi Bandhan is a bonding
ceremony between a brother and sister. Many families celebrate this tradition by making
an intricate bracelet by sowing and knotting beads onto a friendship type bracelet. Along
with this, the brother has to buy a present for his sister. Then, on the day of Rakhi
Bandhan, which is usually in August, they exchange presents and make a promise to help
each other. “When I was younger I always more excited for the money I got in return but

Bollywood, the part of India that makes it famous is located in Mumbai.
Bollywood is just like Hollywood but bigger, more productive and in my opinion, better.
Bollywood, the main movie making industry in India, Has many talented actors,
choreographed stage crews, extravagant clothing, and finally, action. Many of the most
popular actors and actresses include Amithabh Bachan, Katrina Kaif, and Hrithik Roshan.
Many Bollywood movies come out once a month or even more often than that!
“Bollywood is considered the leader in number of movies made and number of tickets
sold,” elaborates silverinternational.mbhs.html. “The most exciting part of Bollywood
is the music and dance.” There are many types of flashy sets that the actors act on. My
personal favorite part of Bollywood produced movies is the clothing! Usually, while
filming, the many Bollywood sets are pandemonium!
India is a very populated country but the traditions and people are very diverse.
Many common traditions and games, more than what I have included in this article, have
originated in India and have spread throughout the world. Just a few examples are polo,
chess, and yoga. This amazing country is definitely the place to go.
