Water/Sewer/Recycling
Payment Process:
In Jewell, each household's water meter is read by the homeowner. A form is filled out with the previous month's meter reading, which
is then subtracted from the current reading. Each payment booklet has a price list based on the number of gallons consumed each
month and the homeowner is responsible for correctly figuring out the amount owed.
Recycling:
Recycling is picked up curbside on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month.
Where to pay:
Payments can be sent to City Hall (P.O. Box 486), dropped off at the City Hall Office, or left in a drop box just inside the front door.
When to pay:
Payments are due on the 10th of each month, with a 10% fee (of total due) charged if paid after that date.
Water testing:
Water is tested once a month by LGI in Ellsworth.

Garbage/Trash Bags: Also available are orange trash bags for sale at Jewell Farm and Home.
Cost is 10 bags for $25. These can be set out on trash day and The Trash Man will collect them.
Bulk Pickup and/or Construction Sites: For charges and to let them know, please call two days before pickup. Cleanup also

hazardous materials, rocks, car bodies or large parts, mechanically chopped tires, batteries, liquids or semi-liquid sludge’s, trees,
stumps, logs, large branches, dead animals, fluorescent light bulbs & ballasts.
