ROYAL SCOTT SCHOLARSHIPS AWARD The Royal Scott Foundation, Inc. will award two scholarships to students graduating from high schools in Jefferson or Berkeley Counties, WV who are planning to attend a degree program at an accredited University or College in West Virginia. The scholarships are based on need for financial assistance. The awards will pay for, but not exceed, the actual cost of tuition and fees, room and board on campus, and books, less any amount the awardee receives from another scholarship or grant. Payment will be made directly to the university or college each semester. Renewal. The scholarships are renewable annually for up to three additional consecutive years. Renewal applications must provide proof of full-time enrollment, maintenance of a minimum 2.5 GPA, and current financial status. Eligibility. There will be no discrimination on the basis of race, national origin, religion, sexual orientation or gender. United States citizenship Residence in West Virginia for at least one year. Expected graduation from a High School in Jefferson or Berkeley County in current academic year GPA of 2.5 or greater Full-time enrollment at an accredited university or college in West Virginia Demonstrated financial need Application Process. The attached application form must be completed and, with other required documents, be submitted to High School counselor by March 1 of year of expected graduation. School counselors at each High School will select two (2) student applications to forward to the Royal Scott Scholarship Committee for final selection. Personal interviews may be required for final candidates.
