Comics in Provence
The association created the first Tintin in the Provencal language, published by Casterman
"Li 7 ball Cristau" and "Lou Temple dóu Souleù."
A forthcoming album, "li Beloio the Castafiore" is currently being translated and will soon be
published by Editions Casterman.
The Collective Prouvènço also harnessed, always in the field of the Comic Strip, to translate
and edit the Provencal first album Gaspard de Besse, the Var hero Behem "The Legendo."
Reissue of French-Provençal dictionary Jules Coupier. When Jules Coupier, teacher
manosquin decided in the early 1980s to fill retiring to initiate a Franco-Provençal dictionary,
it certainly does not doubt the impact that this would work in the community attached to the
culture and the Provencal language. It was indeed a Franco-Provençal dictionary included in
the "Little Treasure" Xavier de Fourvière and lexicon majoral Roche, but these structures are
attractive and precursors, do not provide the amount of information provided by the Coupier .
Indeed, it took ten years of hard work and writing over 8000 pages to get to this result. The
book published in 1995 with advice from Edisud Andre Aries, Philippe and Claude Blanchet
Rastaing was immediately a great success. This work filled a void in Provence and thus
complete the colossal work of F. Mistral: The Treasury Felibrige.
This dictionary is a reference for students in Provence, to the point that the first edition was
recently out of stock. It was therefore quite legitimate and even necessary to repeat this major
work also making its actualization. The Collective Prouvènço undertook this colossal work
reissue to satisfy all those who want to learn the Provencal and perpetuate the language and
traditions. The new version of Coupier dictionary is now available from the Collective
Prouvènço and in many bookstores.
French-Provençal bilingual magazine Me Dison Prouvènço
The Collective Prouvènço since 2001 publishes a bilingual French-Provençal magazine
entitled "Dison Prouvènço Me," which means "My name is Provence." The magazine of 56
pages in color covers news of the Provençal language and culture and is distributed through a
network of subscribers to 1,500 copies.
Many publishing projects

Collective Prouvènço supports and will rise, with the support of the community and its
members.

Forums and Conferences
Since its inception, the Collective Prouvènço is driving force for local authorities and
associations. Often, it is at the request, in the creation of events (eg Provencal feast Racino
and Jitello Miramas, in the Bouches-du-Rhone, or the Festival of the Swallows City Vedène
in Vaucluse ).
But also, and especially, the association seeks to disclose the Provencal culture and
interviewing people on many topics and then develop the themes that are close to their heart.
So many conferences have been conducted on the language itself, its relevance and its future,
but also on the flag of Provence, cultures and traditions or on large Provencal writers like
Joseph Frédéric Mistral or Arbaud ...
In 2010, the Collective Prouvènço proposed a first Châteaurenard forum, entitled "An Act for
the regional languages? ". Building on the success of the first edition, and based on the
principle of participatory democracy, the association has recurred in 2011, Maussane-lesAlpilles, with the Alpilles Forum, whose theme addressed the teaching of Provençal . These
forums have resulted in detailed reports and motions of which were then submitted to the
Ministries concerned.
Mireille by the ballet in Europe under the direction of Jean-Charles Gil
On the occasion of the centenary of the Nobel Prize awarded to Frédéric Mistral (1904), the
Ballet d'Europe wished to honor the félibre by transposition ballet opera Mireille. Inspired by
the poem by Mistral and touched by the depth of the words of Lamartine who Mireille is "the
transfiguration of nature and the human heart, in poetry," Jean-Charles Gil has extracted an
argument ballet. This ballet was co-produced by the Collective Prouvènço and received the
support of the Community of Pays d'Aix. The first took place on August 5, 2004 at Theatre
Antique Arles. It was followed by a triumphant tour of Provence (Arles Antique Theatre,
Theatre of the Archdiocese of Aix-en-Provence, Chateau de La Tour d'Aigues, Manosque,
Miramas, Opéra de Marseille, the Pennes-Mirabeau , ...) which continued in 2005 (including
the Middle East) and in 2006 (Malta) and in 2007, with Switzerland and Spain.
Festival Me Dison Prouvènço
In 2001 was born in Arles, under the leadership of Collective Prouvènço the first polycultural festival regionalist Provence Me Dison Prouvènço.
It will be held every two years in Arles, occupying during a summer week various
emblematic places of the city: Arenas, Ancient Theatre, Summer Garden, Garden Glassware,
Court of the Archdiocese, Republic Square ...
During this event that will drain each year nearly 40,000 people each year in Provence host
another great linguistic region of France or Europe. Thus, Corsica, Brittany and Piedmont
have they been in the spotlight over the years ...
I Dison Prouvènço also acquired acclaim as a precursor, both in the field of technology in the
programming.
Renowned artists have performed there in very different cultural areas: music, singing,
theater, contemporary art, photography, cinema ... or can I quote Muvrini Bagad Bihoué
Lann, Jean-François Gerold and Condor , Marlevar and Luisa Cottifogli but Gérard Gelas,
Alice Belaïdi or Damien Remy ...
The Collective Prouvènço finally chose to stay at Dison Prouvènço Me Festival in summer
2011 to focus on its flagship project: the creation of an Observatory of Language and Culture
Provencal.
Festival of Fountains
In 2010, the Collective Prouvènço, which wants to transmit the language and culture of
Provence enjoyed many, created the Festival of Fountains, Grans, in the beautiful park
Fontaine Mary Rose.
People and regionalist eco-festival, the Festival of Fountains is part of a sustainable
development approach, attempts to make people discover their roots and favors a policy of
very low prices, so that everyone can have access to culture.
Created with the support of the city of Grans, the community of communes of West Provence
and many other local communities, it also brings together many local businesses and
associations: a working partnership where everyone brings his stone to the edifice ...
Thus, the Festival des Fontaines is primarily a mood, an atmosphere ... A place where all
generations come together with original animations and high quality concerts.
For its first edition, the Festival of Catalonia invited to join the Provencal. In 2011, it was
Italy who was honored ...
The dynamism of the Collective Prouvènço recognized by his peers beyond our borders has
allowed to establish strong interactions with other linguistic regions of Europe. In 2011, the
Folk Festival Rock'n Como, Italy, has received two representatives of the Festival of
Fountains, with whom he has partnered in the form of cultural exchange.
For many years, the Collective Prouvènço working on the creation of his major project: the
Observatory of the Provencal language and culture. Real tool for coordination and creation, it
