Flucarbazone Section 13: Formulation: Everest 70 WDG formulation (70% active ingredient) EPA Reg. No: 66330-49 CAS No.: 181274-17-9 Registrant: Arysta Section 28: Reference Substance(s): flucarbazone-sodium (MKH 6562 or TM-454) and N-desmethyl MKH 6562 and the deuterated internal standards (as appropriate). Registrant for RS only if different than Section 13: NA Section 29: REFERENCE METHOD: “An Analytical Method for the Determination of MKH 6562 Residues in Plant Matrices”, T.J. Gould and A.G. Sanders, November 10, 1998, Bayer Corporation, Stilwell, KS 66085, Bayer Report Number 108059. OR Analytical method listed in Appendix 2 of the final report for the IR-4 study titled, “Flucarbazone-sodium: Magnitude of the Residue on Grasses (Seed Crop)”; Authors: Frederick P. Salzman, Ph.D. and Kathryn HackettFields; IR-4 PR No. 09000; Dated: July 10, 2009. REFERENCE METHOD MODIFICATIONS/METHOD VALIDATION: To validate the method, fortify some of the control samples (of each matrix) in triplicate with flucarbazone-sodium (MKH 6562 or TM-454) and N-desmethyl MKH 6562 at a minimum of 3 concentration levels each, lowest level of method validation (0.01ppm or lower), 0.1 ppm, and 1 ppm. SAMPLE ANALYSIS: Samples will be analyzed for the combined residues of flucarbazone-sodium (MKH 6562 or TM-454) and Ndesmethyl MKH 6562 (expressed as flucarbazone-Na equivalents) following the Working Method. STORAGE STABILITY ANALYSIS: As soon as possible after receipt of samples, a minimum of six subsamples of all available crop fractions of the control shall be fortified with flucarbazone-sodium (MKH 6562 or TM-454) and N-desmethyl MKH 6562 at 0.1 ppm each.
