Minutes of Panhellenic Council of the University of Central Arkansas
9/22/15
The regular meeting was called to order by President Hailey Durham at 1:40 in student center. The roll
was called by Secretary Claire Keller.

Read greek announcements
Would anyone be interested in ordering another sweatshirt? It is one with wooley threads
and is very soft. Will send prices in group me.
Panhellenic Exec will be visiting each chapter tonight (9/22). This visit is to
acknowledge our community is broken, and to have problem/solution conversations with
each chapter.
VP of New Members

Attached to everyone’s minutes are the goals the new members made at branching out,
they are divided into chairs so please look over those and see if we can reach any of them
this semester

In our exec meeting on 9/16 we discussed the recruitment roundtable and pi chi dinner

Idea: All greek shirt! Many people have asked about doing one with the houses on it like
our council shirts. Will reach out and try to figure out more information

Will be trying to reach some of the goals for her chair created by new members
Philanthropy Chair


Will need trunk or treat sign up sheets by October 13.
An idea to meet the new members goals for philanthropy chair is for philanthropy chair
to send a letter to other chapters philanthropy chairs telling them about other chapters
philanthropy events to try to get everyone to attend each other’s events

NEW BUSINESS

ASA moves to strike out rule 36 which says, “House Tours are required during the
second round of recruitment,” along with sections 1-6. SSS 2nd, Discussion.
- DZ moved to table the motion until next meeting. SK 2nd. All vote in the affirmative
to table the motion.
 ASA moves for recruitment to be held august 25- august 28, the weekend after welcome
week, but before Labor Day weekend. SK 2nd, Discussion.
- ASA moves to table the motion until next meeting. AST 2nd. All in favor to table the
motion until next meeting.
 ASA moves to change rule 32 to read, “The budget for formal recruitment will be based
off of PNMs signed up for the first round of recruitment from the previous formal recruitment.
We will add $8 for every PNM signed up with a maximum of $3000 and a minimum of $1500.”
SK 2nd. Discussion.
- SK moves to table the motion until next meeting. ASA 2nd. All vote in the
affirmative to table the motion until next meeting.
ANNOUNCEMENTS

AST- RAs are doing Zumba from 5-6 in between the houses on 9/23. Everyone come!
ASA-Big event apps are out!
AST-Mudstock sign ups are due on friday
