BECA FOUNDATION
Established in 1984, the BECA Foundation’s purpose is to provide scholarships and communitybased guidance to Latino students pursuing a college education. The BECA Foundation administers
four scholarship funds: the General Scholarship, the Daniel Gutierrez Memorial Scholarship, the
Alice Newell Joslyn Medical Scholarship, and the Pepperdine University Scholarship.

CHEVROLET EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarships are awarded based on academic success, work experience, extracurricular activities, and

CONGRESSIONAL HISPANIC CAUCUS INSTITUTE (CHCI)-SCHOLARSHIP
AWARDS
The CHCI Scholarship Awards are afforded to Latino students who have a strong commitment
toward the Latino community, a history of leadership and public service, and a desire to continue
contributing in the future. Students attending a two-year community college will receive $1,500.
Students attending a four-year college or
graduate/professional program will receive $5,000. There is no GPA or major requirement.

CRAZYLOCO SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Crazyloco Scholarship Program provides academic scholarships to graduating high school
seniors. Successful candidates will be selected by the Crazyloco Scholarship Program through an
assessment of high school academic achievement, financial need, and personal qualities and
strengths revealed in a required personal statement and letter

GOVERNMENT FINANCE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION OF THE UNITED STATES
AND CANADA-MINORITIES IN GOVERNMENT FINANCE SCHOLARSHIP
These scholarships are awarded to upper-division undergraduates and graduate students studying
public administration, governmental accounting, finance, political science, economics, or business
administration (with a focus on government or nonprofit management). Applicants must be
Hispanic, African American, American Indian, Eskimo, Aleutian, Asian, or Pacific Islander. Awards
are for $5,000.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HISPANIC FEDERAL EXECUTIVES (NAHFE)SCHOLARSHIP
PROGRAM
The National Association of Hispanic Federal Executives awards four scholarships to graduating
high school seniors
who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need. Scholarships are presented at NAHFE’s
annual conference in
Washington, DC in November. The scholarship is designed to provide financial support to students
in good
academic standing.

SALVADORAN-AMERICAN LEADERSHIP & EDUCATION FUND
Applicants must be of Salvadoran, Central American, or other Latino background and must
demonstrate financial
need. Should have a history of community service and involvement. Overall GPA should be a 3.0.
High school
applicants must be admitted to a four year college; college applicants must be working toward their
Bachelor of Arts
or Graduate degree and must write a 500 word essay for SALEF. History of community service and
involvement.
