MATH
We will continue to practice and learn strategies to use when adding two 2-digit numbers.
Please ask your child about the different strategies we have practiced during class time.
Have your child tell you which strategy he/she thinks is the easiest for them and why it is
the easiest. We will also practice adding 3 and 4 numbers (23 + 30 + 45), by regrouping,
(stacking the problem) or adding all the tens and then the ones and adding them together.
Please continue to have your child practice basic addition facts to 20 at least 3 nights a week
or whenever possible. You can use flashcards to practice these or asking them while riding
the car is a great time too. We will also be taking our Chapter 4 Test on Friday, be looking
for the study guide to come home on Thursday. Thank you!
