On Tuesday the 19th at 10:00 a.m., I am hosting a Principal’s Coffee for anyone interested in
learning more about The Mount. I very much enjoy sitting together with potential families in a more
personal environment and sharing with them the amazing opportunities The Mount has to offer. If you
have questions, you may contact Diane Wilson at 631-8865, ext. 205.
•
At the request of the Archdiocese, Mount St. Mary is hosting a Town Hall meeting for the
community on the topic of the Education Savings Account. The meeting is Tuesday, January 19th at
6:30pm. Representative Jason Nelson, the ESA bill sponsor, will explain how these types of savings
accounts give parents control over their child’s share of education funding, allowing them to customize
their child’s education regarding private school tuition, textbooks, concurrent enrollment, etc. Bishop
McGuinness will also hold a town hall meeting, scheduled for Thursday, January 21, at 6:30pm.
•
Parents, just a reminder that in the event of bad weather and I feel it is necessary to cancel
classes for the safety of our school family, you will be contacted by an automated telephone message
with MY voice, and you will also see the school closing notice scroll on the major TV news stations (NBC,
CBS, ABC). Please look for “Mount St. Mary High School.” The Catholic elementary school in Guthrie is
“St. Mary’s.”
•
A message from our cafeteria…if your student orders a salad for lunch, he/she is still responsible
for paying for their “special request” for a salad in the event they change their mind and do not want
the salad as they go through the lunch line.
•
Attached is a picture of the Basketball Homecoming t-shirts that are for sale by Student Council.
It would be fun if you ordered one! For additional information, contact Mr. David Roberts at 631-8865,
