Kellogg Middle School Daily Bulletin February 27, 2013 Good Morning Kellogg! BROADCASTING LIVE FROM SHORELINE, THIS IS KMS RADIO!! Today is Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Today is a 3-day. PLEDGE: Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. Today in Sports: In Wrestling: (Insert Abby’s remarks here!) In Basketball: Yesterday against Einstein the 7th grade girls opened the game with an 8-4 first quarter lead that was earned by high pressure defense and hustle. The game was tight through the third quarter, but ball handling and missed shot opportunities turned the game in Einstein's favor. The girls are committed to playing hard, getting better, and having fun! Coach McMurray is excited about the great attitude of this team and looks forward to the challenges ahead. Go Knights! The 8th grade girls basketball team opened the season at home against our arch rivals Einstein. Facing a bigger and much deeper team but helped by the early scoring of Jaylyn, Kellogg led at the half by just 1 point. In the third quarter your Knights increased the pressure with aggressive on ball defense and pushed the ball upcourt at every opportunity to build the winning margin. A nifty shot in traffic by Rachel and a great find of Jazlyn by Keyonna held off a last effort from the Tigers. Coach McMuray noted that, the strong physical play of Jazlyn and Hailey down low and the total team effort on the boards against a much taller opponent proved to be the deciding factor in the victory. Congratulations Girls!!!! Next game tomorrow night on the road against Harbor Point. Gooooo!!!! Knights!!!!!
