Get the EARLY BIRD SPECIAL for $75 and turned in by February 28,2011.; which includes all categories. Parents WILL NOT BE permitted backstage 10 minutes prior to pageant. Pageants are categorized as follows and may be changed by the Pageant Board as deemed necessary: Baby Miss – 0- 12 months Tiny Miss – 2 -3 years Young Miss - 7-9 years Toddler Miss – 13-23 months Little Miss - 4-6 years Junior Miss - 10 -12 years II. The number of contestants allowed in each age division will be at the discretion of the Miss Emanuel/Miss Southeast Georgia Board. The Pageant Board reserves the right to combine age groups in any age division. III. Contestants MUST meet the requirements for each division by or on February 28, 2011.. In the event that a parent/guardian/responsible party provides false or inaccurate application information, upon proven falsification, contestant will be disqualified and any crown/title will be forfeited to the first runner-up. IV. Contestant’s attire and makeup should be age appropriate and may consist of: Baby, Toddler, & Tiny - Sunday dress or pageant dress. Shoes and socks are required. Little & Young – Pageant dress Junior- Evening gown The traditional T formation pageant walk will be modeled by each contestant. V. Escorts for children, who need them, are allowed. Escorts will NOT be taken into account for scoring. Attire for escorts may consist of: Female Escorts - Sunday dress, dress slacks, blouse, etc. ABSOLUTELY no low necklines, see-through apparel, short shorts, skirts or dresses will be allowed. Male Escorts - dress slacks, dress shirt, polo shirt, etc. You may wear a tux. VI. Upon commencement of the pageant, contestants are under the jurisdiction of the Miss Emanuel/ Southeast Georgia Board. Pageant Officials. The Board encourages friends and relatives to attend the pageant, but at no time are they to visit backstage with contestants. Only ONE person per child will be allowed backstage. This can be a parent or an escort, NOT both. Any items to be sent to the contestants should go through a pageant official or escort/chaperone. VII. Applications of all contestants will be kept confidential. Entry fees may be paid by cash, check, or money order. Checks must be made payable to Miss Emanuel/Miss Southeast Georgia Pageants. Refunds will only be issued upon the discretion of the Pageant Board. A $35.00 charge will be applied on all returned checks. VIII. Each contestant and one parent will be admitted to the pageant free. Ticket will be given/mailed upon application and money completed and turned in. IX. Photogenic judging is optional and does not count towards contestants’ scores. Judges are not made aware of who does or does not participate in this event. There will only be one photogenic trophy awarded in each division of competition. Must be a current, 5x7 or 8x10, photo. No touch ups. No Frames. Be sure name is written on the back. Picture must be received “IN HAND” by deadline. Pictures will be available for pick up in dressing room. X. Judging will be done by qualified personnel. No family members, friends, and/or significant others of the current applicants will be allowed to judge any Miss Emanuel/Miss Southeast Georgia Pageant. Judge panels at all Miss Emanuel/Miss Southeast Georgia Pageant events are limited to no more than five (5) and no less than three (3) judges. XI. Judges’ decisions will be accepted as official and final. NO SCORES will be given out under any circumstances. A point scale will be used in the various divisions as deemed necessary by the Pageant Board. Scores of contestants will be kept confidential. All materials are shredded after the pageants. XII. Pictures of the winners, runners-up, and photogenic will be made immediately after each age division’s crowning. Winners will be escorted off stage. No one is allowed on stage. Please do not block center aisle or sides where contestants may be exiting or entering the stage area. XIII. No contestant can serve as winner in the same division more than once. XIIII. The Miss Emanuel/Miss Southeast Georgia Pageant Board requires the newly crowned Miss Emanuel/Miss Southeast Georgia Queens to perform the following duties: 1) Attendance at the Miss Emanuel/Miss Southeast Georgia pageant held in August 20, 2011. 2) All title winners are responsible for returning the next year to crown their successors. 3) The Board will provide a float or a vehicle for the annual Pine Tree Festival parade. Winners may ride in the current year’s parade, but responsibility lies with the parent/guardian. XV. Parents/Guardians shall not hold any member of their pageant board, liable or responsible for any property damaged, lost, or stolen during the competition. XVI. The Board may conduct the local pageant by any rules or method deemed suitable to the particular situation, so long as the contestants selected to enter the pageants meet the requirements set forth in these rules set forth by the board.
