We added new journals to a number of our Arts & Sciences collections, expanding their coverage of key disciplines in the humanities, social sciences and sciences. Below is a snapshot of the recent growth in collection(s) that may be of interest to your institution: Arts & Sciences I Established in 1997, JSTOR's first collection includes core journals in economics, history, political science, and sociology, as well as in other key fields in the humanities and social sciences. This collection also contains titles in ecology, mathematics, and statistics. This year alone, we added more than 6,000 articles, representing over 63,000 pages, to the Arts & Sciences I Collection. To date, this collection contains in total more than 976,000 articles (equaling over 6.5 million pages or nearly 1,600 linear feet of shelf space savings). A particular emphasis is placed on ancient near east studies, making this journal an excellent addition for classical studies as well as Middle East Studies. Afro-Hispanic Review: Published by the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Vanderbilt University, this bilingual journal is unique in its field, covering the history, culture and literature of the African presence in Latin America, and its diaspora. Canadian Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Studies: a core title in Latin American Studies This year alone, we added more than 36,000 articles, representing nearly 280,000 pages, to the Arts & Sciences IX Collection. To date, this collection contains in total more than 383,000 articles (equaling more than 3.1 million pages or 765 linear feet of shelf space savings). History and Philosophy of the Life Sciences: an interdisciplinary journal committed to providing an integrative approach to understanding the life sciences. It features contributions from biologists, historians, philosophers, and scholars in the social study of science that offer broad and interdisciplinary perspectives on the development of biology, especially as these perspectives illuminate both biology’s scientific development and its larger role in society. International Journal of Peace Studies: This journal spans both qualitative and quantitative approaches to issues of conflict and prospects for peace on multiple levels. It has published original research by some of the founding figures in the field, including Johan Galtung, Elise Boulding and John W Burton, as well as original communications by leading figures in the broader global peace community, including Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama and other Nobel laureates. This year alone, we added more than 64,000 articles, representing over 320,000 pages, to the Arts & Sciences X Collection.
