Question: Natural disaster that has happened in the last 200 years.
There are many natural disasters in the world. A natural disaster gives people many bad things.
For example, Katrina is an example. Katrina is a hurricane that occurred in the USA. This is one of
the biggest hurricanes in the world. This hurricane’s wind speed was almost 205km/h. Hurricane
Katrina killed almost 1800 people. It destroyed many cities. The Representative city is New Orleans.

New Orleans is a peaceful city and the second biggest port city in the USA, but in August 2005,
Hurricane Katrina occurred. At first, hurricane Katrina was small, but Katrina got more powerful and
it became one of the biggest ones in the world. Because the hurricane occurred in the sea, o it
absorbed a lot of water, so the hurricane became very big. The first wind speed was 15.6m/s, but it
absorbed a lot of water, and its wind speed became 71.5m/s. Katrina passed over New Orleans.
Katrina destroyed all cities. 1800 people died from Katrina, Houses and cars were destroyed. People
lost many things. They lost their families and houses. After Katrina, they live in streets or stadium
because they don’t have money and a house, so their government gives them support.. They found
missing people and they provided people with a lot of foods and constructed buildings. However, the
damage was too big. It is not easy to restore. Until now, the trace of the damage is existing. (blogger tomato2006)
Hurricane Katrina gave humans a lot of losses. Katrina killed 1800 people and it gave many billions
ofdollars damage. Now, the restoration is almost completed. Until now, many people are hard to living
because of hurricane Katrina, so the government has to support those people to live completely.
