Bruce –



Main reason for student attending Orme School as a Post Graduate student is to be better
equipped student in question for college and broaden his college acceptance opportunities.
Tony had reviewed the CAA site and interpreted the student was eligible to participate in CAA
sports.
Parents were advised by school that student was eligible base on Tony’s interpretation.
Randy 

Board finds student ineligible based on the fact he has already graduated high school. Therefore
he is no longer considered a “high school student”.
Decision was made by school without involving league. Even after multiple conversations with
Tony regarding other issues, student’s eligibility was never brought to the league for assistance
in interpretation.
Bruce –

Student is taking high school courses and attending full time, abiding by all high school rules.
Participation in sports is a great motivational factor for student to keep up grades.

Bruce –
Suggested arbitration not be pursued and the board just needs to do the right thing and allow student
to play.

