The walking tour will include: The Janusz Korczak Orphanage – Janusz Korczak was a Polish-Jewish educator, children's author, and pediatrician. After spending many years working as director of an orphanage in Warsaw, he refused freedom and stayed with his orphans when the children were sent from the Ghetto to the Treblinka extermination camp in 1942. Okopowa Street Jewish Cemetery -The Okopowa Street Jewish Cemetery is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in Europe. Umschlagplatz - The Umschlagplatz was the square in Warsaw under German occupation, where Jews were gathered for deportation from the Warsaw Ghetto to the Treblinka extermination camp as part of Operation Reinhard. Mila 18 The basement of the house that used to be located here served as the headquarters bunker of the Jewish Combat Organization. Monument to the Ghetto Heroes - is a monument commemorating the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of 1943 Nożyk Synagogue - The Nożyk Synagogue is the only surviving pre-war Jewish house of prayer in Warsaw, Poland. It was built in 1898-1902 and was restored after World War. Krasnik – This Jewish Cemetery was established in the first half of the 19th century. The last known burial was held in 1943. From April to November of 1942 the Nazis conducted mass executions of the Jews in this cemetery. Old Synagogue, Remuh Synagogue, High Synagogue, Temple Synagogue, Isaac Synagogue Galicia Jewish Museum – the museum is located in the historic Jewish district of Kazimierz in Kraków, Poland. It is a photo exhibition documenting the remnants of Jewish culture and life in Polish Galicia, which used to be very vibrant in this area. Krakow Ghetto (Podgórze) - German authorities created the Jewish ghetto in Krakow under the Nazi occupation on March 3, 1941 as a compulsory dwelling place for the city's Jews. Pharmacy Under the Eagle Museum - On the south side of Plac Bohaterów Getta is this museum in a former pharmacy, which was run by the non-Jew Tadeusz Pankiewicz during the Nazi occupation. Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory - Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory, a former metal item factory in Kraków, is now host to two museums: the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow and a branch of the Historical Museum of the City of Krakow. Plaszow Concentration Camp - The Plaszow camp, established in 1942 under the authority of the SS and police leaders in Krakow, was initially a forced-labor camp for Jews. The original site of the camp included two Jewish cemeteries. Lunch in Litomerice - Litoměřice is a town at the junction of the rivers Elbe and Ohře in the north part of the Czech Republic, approximately 64 km northwest of Prague. National Monument to the Heroes of Heydrich Terror - The Church of Sts. Cyril & Methodius houses a moving memorial to the seven Czech paratroopers who were involved in the assassination of Reichsprotektor Reinhard Heydrich in 1942, with an exhibit and video about Nazi persecution of the Czechs.
