“Student Photography Contest” Regulation
1. Objective: To improve NPUST students’ photography skill and creativity
2. Organizer: NPUST Library Art and Cultural Centre
3. Co-organizer: NPUST Extracurricular Activities Division, NPUST Photography Club
4. Qualification: Current students of NPUST
5. Theme: Campus scene, humanity, ecology and activities. Maximum two (2) entries
per participant. Photo should burn in CD with photo title as picture file name and
numbering in “1” and “2”. Submit your entry to Art and Cultural Centre at 3rd floor of
library.
6. Format: Digital camera photograph, JPG file with 2000 × 2400 pixels and above.
7. Submission Period: 11th Nov till 20th Nov (proof of postmark).
8. Submission Address: National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, Library
Art and Cultural Centre, No. 1, Shuefu Road, Neipu, Pingtung 912 (kindly indicate as
“2013 Student Photography Contest”)
9. Judging Date and Venue: 10am, 26th Nov (Tuesday) at library meeting room
10. Prizes:
Gold Medal (1 winner): Certificate of award and one iPad mini
Silver Medal (1 winner): Certificate of award and one Sony digital camera
Bronze Medal (1 winner): Certificate of award and one Asus 24” LCD monitor
Award of Excellence (5 winners): Certificate of award and one Transcend mobile
hard disk
Award of Outstanding (several): Certificate of award
11. Awarding Date: 11am, 2nd Dec (Monday) at Library 3rd floor Art and Cultural Centre
12. Additional Rules:
a. Only one winner per Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal.
b. Entries must be the original creation of participant. Filching, plagiarizing,
copying and other fraudulent entries will be disqualified from the winning
qualification and awarded prize will be withdrawn.
c. Digital participation form must be attached in CD. All submitted CD will not
be returned no matter the judging result.
d. Once judging committee agrees in consensus, entries that did not achieve
standard of award, prize will be retained, unawarded.
e. Organizer reserve the right to publish prize winning entries in newspaper,
magazine, media, publication or any public occasion or exhibition without
paying addition loyalty or fee to participant. Organizer will decide on which
award entry to publish and participant may not protest on it.
f. All costs of photo exhibition will be supported by NPUST Library Art and
Cultural Centre.
g. All participants in the contest will be assumed to agree to all the terms and
conditions of the contest.
