Process for recognition of prior learning

The principles of recognition of prior learning (RPL) are acknowledged. For consideration of RPL the applicant must complete an
Application for RPL. All evidence provided by the applicant will be assessed against the course objectives and individual module
learning outcomes.
For consideration of RPL the applicant will be required to submit the following:

a transcript of education related to immunisation and/or experience in immunisation programs

evidence of knowledge of the Health (Drugs and Poisons) Regulation 1996 as it pertains to immunisation

evidence that course admission requirements are met.

Acquire ability to promote immunisation from a public health perspective

Interpret and apply knowledge of legislation and professional practice standards to fulfil the role of an Immunisation Program
Nurse

Apply contemporary knowledge and skills in the administration of vaccines

Use multiple approaches to enhance assessment and decision making appropriate to practice context

Engage in collaborative practice to achieve optimal, culturally relevant client outcomes
