For this assignment, you will be writing a well organized essay that offers a summary, identification of key PE concepts,
summary of your personal training plan or activities and finally an analysis of the fitness program you are currently participating
in. During this unit students will participate in a health-related fitness presentation and be required to read “Why Exercise is
Wise”. Go to PE Website – DV Home – Departments – PE. After that students will be given 1 week to complete their essay.
Requirements: Write a 600-750 word essay (probably about 5-7 sentences each paragraph) of your assigned reading and
Health-related presentation. Your paper needs to be thorough, yet concise, so choose your words carefully. Focus on clearly
explaining your ideas, creating a logical organization of your ideas, and correctly using standard writing conventions and MLA
format.
Value: This assignment will be worth 25 points in the participation part of your grade.
Reminder: Pre-writing is essential for every good piece of writing. Take your time developing and organizing what you want
to say, as this will make writing the actual essay much easier. If it helps, please use the pre-writing example on the back of this
