Body of Lesson: Expose students to unreal conditional sentences
Opening: shows a video clip including unreal conditional sentences
in order to draw students’ attention. There is a brief explanation about
unreal conditional sentences
Activities: 1. show some simple examples of unreal conditional
sentences
2. require students to write sentences with shown
pictures
3. play a game in a group with a given simple form such
as “What if”
4. creative writing using their own skills that they have
learned in the activities
Closing: listen to a song “If I were a boy” by Beyonce
How will the learning be assessed?
Lesson will focus more on exposure to unreal conditional sentences rather
than students’ scores.
Students share their sentences and correct them together rather than
instructors assess them.
Students will be assessed by their participation rather than their competence.
