A GUIDE FOR APPLICANTS
History
The endowed scholarship was donated in memory of Leicester accountant John Lowe.
The scholarships will be awarded to students attending an undergraduate programme
within the University of Northampton’s Business School, in the Field of Accounting and
Finance.
Eligible courses are:



BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance
BSc (Hons) Banking and Financial Planning
BA/BSc (Hons) Accounting (Joint Honours)
Criteria

Applicants were born in or were living in the County of Northamptonshire at the
time of applying for their course at the University of Northampton

The scholarship is open to current first year students, or offer holders of one of
the courses listed above, who are due to commence their course in September
2015

All applicants must be within two years of leaving FT secondary education

The sum of £2,000 will be paid to successful recipients in 2 separate payments
of £1,000 each; at the start of the first term of the second year of study and at
the start of the third year of study
Administration and Applications

Please submit the completed application form by 30 June 2016 to
scholarships@northampton.ac.uk

The successful applicant will be required to complete a letter accepting the terms
and conditions of the award

The payments will be on condition of continued satisfactory study

The decision of the Trustees and representatives of the University is final
