Guide for applicants
History
Donated by the Davidge Usher Trust, the Davidge Usher Scholarship will support an
undergraduate student studying a full time undergraduate, non-professional
programme.
Criteria

The applicants have firmly accepted by 30 September 2014 an offer to study at
the University of Northampton within the School of Health or the School of
Education

The sum of £3,000 will be paid to successful recipients in 3 separate payments of
£1,000 each; at the start of the first, second and third year of study, subject to
continued satisfactory progress

Ideally, applicants will have visited the University and/or been for an interview

Terms and Conditions

The recipient must submit a report on how the financial award has been spent
and the benefits they have received

Breaks from study through intermission or illness will result in the termination of
the scholarship

Should the terms and conditions not be met, termination of the scholarship or
award is at the discretion of the Trustees

The recipient agrees to participate in press and PR opportunities as required and
to their reports being used on the University’s website and in printed publications
