Where on a map your biome can be found – you need a
map showing this. You may use your biomes coloring
packet for this, or print one off from home

General Information (15 points)
□
General Description of your biome
o Include at least 8 important facts about your biome that
are not in the following sections
o Include any important characteristics of your biome that
are not covered in the other areas
□
Include at least 3 pictures or drawings of your biome (you
cannot count pictures from other areas)- these pictures can go
anywhere on the front of this poster
Common Inhabitants (15 points)
□ List and have pictures or drawings of at least three animals
in your biome (scientific and common names)
□ Identify animals as herbivores, carnivores, or omnivores
□ List two animal adaptations (including explanation of why
it helps the organism)
□ List and have pictures of at least three specific plants in
your biome (scientific and common names)
□ List of two plant adaptations (including explanation of why
it helps the organism)
Food Chain (15 points)
□ With at least four organisms
□ Label the producer, primary consumer, Secondary
consumer, and tertiary consumer
□ Include a picture of each organism
Human Impact (5 points)
□ What do we use it for or how are we affecting it?
□ Find any information about how we are conserving this
biome, or affecting it negatively. You may have to use the
internet for this part.

Abiotic Factors (15 points)

For Land Biomes:
o General climate
o Average rainfall (include graphs if found)
o Average temperatures (include graphs if found)
o Soil types or characteristics- like nutrient availability,
salinity, pH
o Landscape (rocky, sandy, etc)

For Aquatic Biomes: (note- you may not be able to find all of
these things, if you cannot find it, then skip it, but keep in mind
that your presentation needs to be at least 5 minutes!)
o Water depths
o Describe relevant ocean zones (neritic, intertidal, etc.)not relevant for freshwater biomes
o Nutrient availability, salinity, pH, light availability, water
temperatures
o Any other abiotic factors that you can find
