The David Frank is a college debate tournament that in 2016 offers policy debate (NDT-CEDA) and parliamentary debate (NPDA). Due to space constraints unique to this year, we are not able to offer IPDA or British Parliamentary. We aim to create the best tournament experience for students and educators. Educators are invited to celebrate their graduating seniors at the awards banquet. All students, coaches, scouts, and others – every single person your school brings – must pay the per person fees. An NPDA finalist and part of a then record-setting top-ranked NPTE team, Ben coached four teams to final rounds and winning two National Championships. In 2016 he coached the winners of the 1st half of the 2016 Mile High tournament. In recognition of Ben’s enormous contributions Oregon Forensics is creating a traveling award given to the individual debater with the highest average speaker points in team debate events. The Dodds Top Debater receives $200 cash during the awards dinner and their name is engraved on the traveling trophy. David Frank Top Scholar award Graduating seniors who excel both academically and competitively may apply for the David Frank Top Scholar award. This award of $1000 is payable upon graduation to the applicant selected by a committee of Oregon alumni.
