To provide NFs/ NOCs with an additional opportunity to clinch
qualification berths for the 2016 Olympic Games, apart from the
Continental Beach Volleyball Cup Final and World Ranking.

FIVB Continental Cup Olympic Qualification
is played by the 2nd and 3rd ranked countries from each
Continental Beach Volleyball Cup Final, this tournament will
qualify 2 places per gender to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio
Any athlete that has qualified quota place for its country to the
2016 Olympic Games in Rio through the World Ranking will not
be allowed to enter to the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Cup

FIVB CONTINETNAL CUP
FINAL
FIVB Continental Cup Final, as the concluding event, is played
to define the Champion country of the Beach Volleyball
Continental Cup among the winner country in each continent.
Each qualified country is represented by their best team.
This event will not be a part of the Olympic Qualification
process. The FIVB will do its utmost to grant the participation of
the best athletes/teams among the qualified countries to this
event.

Qualification Criteria
Any athlete that has qualified quota place for its country to the
2016 Olympic Games in Rio through the World Ranking will not
be allowed to enter to the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Cup
Olympic Qualification tournament.

Participation is based on the 5 (five) winning countries (2 teams
per country per gender) of each Continental Beach Volleyball
Cup Final.
The participating athletes shall be the same who will win the
Final matches between the two rosters (one roster: NOCs/NFs
not having qualified the maximum 2 Olympic Places and the
other roster: NOCs/NFs having already qualified 2 Olympic
Places) in the Continental Cup Final.
Country Quota
Maximum 2 teams per gender per country
Teams Entry
Upon completion of the Continental Cup
5 (five) winner countries (2 teams per country per gender) of
each Continental Beach Volleyball Cup Final
NOCs/ NFs are always competing with two teams per gender
per country in a Country vs. Country format and in a "best out of
five matches".
In case of tie, one decisive match or as an alternative a Golden
Set until 15 points (with a 2 point lead) can be played by the
registered athletes designated by each country.
Competition Format
10 (ten) or 12 (twelve) countries participating will play in 2 pools
(A and B) of 5 or 6 countries according to a round robin system.
The best 2 countries of the 2 (two) pools will play against each
other as follows: A1 vs. B2 and A2 vs. B1. The country of the
winning teams of these matches (3 out of 5 match format) will
qualify directly to the Olympic Games.
If the organizing country is not qualified to this phase, it will have
the right to take part with 2 (two) teams per gender. In the case
of 12 (twelve) participating countries, the 12th and the last
country participating shall be allocated by the FIVB from outside
the host country’s Confederation.
Seeding
NOCs/ NFs are always competing with two teams per gender
per country in a Country vs. Country format and in a "best out of
five matches".
In case of tie, one decisive match or as an alternative a Golden
Set until 15 points (with a 2 point lead) can be played by the
registered athletes designated by each country.
The competition format can be agreed upon between the FIVB
and the organizers within all possible options (i.e. pool/round
robin, double elimination, single elimination, etc.)
If the organizing country is not qualified to this phase, it will have
the right to take part with 2 (two) teams per gender. In the case
of 12 (twelve) participating countries, the 12th and the last
country participating shall be allocated by the FIVB from outside
the host country’s Confederation.

The FIVB will assign the following officials to smoothly conduct events with the Organizers: Technical Supervisor, Referee Delegate,
Press Delegate, Medical Delegate, International Referees, FIVB Photographer, and English TV Commentator.

4 International Beach Volleyball Referees under Neutral Quota & 2 Referees under Local quota (For a competition with 1 court)
International Referees
Note:
May vary depending on the number of courts used and/or the level of neutrality and quality required.
Equation applies in case of multiple courts = 4 Referees X number of courts used +1 Referee.
Referees under Local Quota may be assigned as per the needs of the competition schedule.

Stadium
Minimum 3000 seats, possibly including a 500-seat roofed area for VIP`s Media, delegations, sponsors, authorities and officials
Facilities
As per current FIVB Handbook incl. office space, meeting rooms, medical facilities, press area and facilities with a direct view to the
centre court and equipped for a min. 50 journalists, sponsor village including booths for FIVB Partners.
Courts
To set-up up to 4 competition courts, possibly all close to each other and with the same orientation plus 2 warm up courts equipped
with FIVB materials as per FIVB Rules of the Game, equipped with Jinling materials (on centre court)

Sanctioning Fee
The Organizers are to pay to the FIVB a sanctioning fee for the commercialization rights in accordance with the level of such rights
granted and negotiated with the FIVB. It is mandatory to propose a license fee when sending a complete candidature to the FIVB
Organizers shall pay to the players USD 300,000 for the men’s
tournament and USD 300,000 for the women’s tournament (total
USD 600,000).

Travel Allowance
The FIVB will pay a per diem to the FIVB Technical Supervisor, Referee Delegate, International Referees, Physiotherapist (if any),
Medical Delegate (if any) Press Delegate and Photographer, as per FIVB Financial Regulations.
International Travel
The Organizers are required to pay all international transportation costs for all FIVB officials
Local Transportation
The Organizers are to cover the costs of local transportation for all participants, including FIVB officials from and to the nearest
international airport, and between the official hotel(s) and the venue.

Board & Lodging
The Organizers are to cover the costs for all participating women’s teams, men’s teams, FIVB Delegates and Officials
Organization Structure
The Organizers are required to set-up a full time organizing staff as per FIVB regulations at least 1 year prior to the event, and to
provide the organizing staff for the event.
A Press and Promotional plan, including press conferences, constant release of news,
dedicated Web site, invitation of journalists, promotional and advertising campaigns, etc., must be developed by the Organizers
Media, Promotion and
Entertainment
The Organizers are required to organize entertainment programs at the venue and side events where everybody can enjoy facilities
for dining, listening to music or dancing in areas close to the competition courts.
The Organizers are required to provide first class catering services and areas for VIPs, sponsors, etc. throughout the entire event.

Civil Risk & Casualties - USD 1 million → paid by Organizer

An FIVB-Organizer-HTVB Agreement signed by 14 August 2015, or before to confirm the international TV distribution.
A single year or multi-year FIVB-Organizer Agreement may be signed.
Host TV Broadcaster
FIVB will collaborate closely with the promoter and the Host TV Broadcaster in order to maximize local TV distribution, and give
input and support to the implementation to the TV production philosophy.
FIVB will provide onsite supervision / TV producer/Director.

The FIVB has exclusive categories determined by existing partnerships, as it follows:

The Organizer can request a Category Release whenever necessary for its sales activities.
The request can be made through the Category Release Request Form [annex 6] and submitted to the FIVB for approval.
If an Organizer wishes to target one of the above FIVB exclusive categories, the FIVB has to study case by case in order to
grant its consent/release. The release will be given, if applicable, to each specific event.
