MILITARY PLANNING CHECKLIST
Freshman
o Keep your grades up! Do your homework and study hard!
o Get involved in extracurricular activities, especially JROTC.
o Begin researching branches of the military that interest you.
o Update your Personal Plan of Study with your counselor on
missouriconnections.org.
o Research AP and dual credit courses.
Sophomore
o Keep your grades up and study hard!
o Join JROTC and get involved in other extracurricular activities!
o Consider taking the ASVAB. Talk to your counselor for details.
o Continue researching branches of military that interest you.
o Begin talking to a recruiter. Ask your counselor for help!
o Take the Career Cluster Inventory on missouriconnections.org with you
counselor to see what you are interested in and how that may tie into your
future career.
o Attend the Career Fair, My Success EventTM.
o Update your Personal Plan of Study on missouriconnections.org.
