Help Raise Funds for Nursing Scholarships!
The Foundation of the National Student Nurses' Association is seeking items to be auctioned at
The Valley of the Sun Auction during the 63rd Annual Convention, April 8 – 12, 2015 in Phoenix,
Arizona at the Phoenix Convention Center. The Valley of the Sun Auction takes place in the
exhibit hall on Friday, April 10th from 1:45 pm to 3:15 pm.
By donating an item ($30.00 minimum value) to be auctioned at The Valley of the Sun Auction,
you will help to raise funds for student scholarships and you will be part of an exciting auction.
In addition, you will want to attend the auction to bid on items of interest to you.
Every year, the Mary Ann Tuft Scholarship Fund awards five scholarships to undergraduate
nursing students. Funds raised during The Valley of the Sun Auction supports the Mary Ann
Tuft Scholarship Fund which has distributed over $181,500 in scholarships.
Valuable items up for auction this year include: A 1940’s nursing cape and cap, and vintage
books. Other items of interest to students and faculty include: Text books (i.e. basket of books),
NCLEX review products, gift certificates, nursing memorabilia, nursing uniforms, CDs and
DVDs, and other teaching/learning tools.
All donations may be dropped off at the NSNA Convention Office at the Phoenix Convention
Center (see location in the Convention Program Book obtained on site) no later than noon on
Thursday, April 9th.
