Although caterers have guaranteed that food will be prepared in a peanut-free environment, we encourage

We are proud to acknowledge that one of our suppliers, Tummy Time by Brettone’s, has been awarded with the
“Eat Smart Award of Excellence”. Eat Smart is an award program that gives recognition to kitchens that meet
exceptional standards in nutrition and safe food handling.
All forms must be returned to the school by Monday December 8th, 2014. As this program is run by volunteers,
late forms are difficult to process and we ask for your cooperation in returning these forms by the deadline.
One form per student must be submitted with the students first and last name, grade and teacher clearly
marked. Incomplete forms will be returned.
Please keep the right hand column of the form as a reminder of your child’s ordered lunches.
No refunds on lunch orders will be issued. If your child is absent, please contact the office before 11:30 a.m. to
make arrangements to pick up their lunch. Otherwise, their meal will be kept in the office fridge for up to two
days.
Errors in processing the forms do occasionally occur. If your child does not receive a lunch, he or she should
contact a lunch volunteer or (for the younger students) a lunch monitor immediately.
Volunteers to distribute lunches, once a month, on a Wednesday 11:40 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. would be very
much appreciated. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact School Council by calling the school at
(905) 850-0672 and asking for our voice mail or sending an email to pine.grove.ps@sc.yrdsb.edu.on.ca
In the event that buses are cancelled when lunch is scheduled, students MUST bring their lunch to school for the
day. Lunches will be rescheduled for the next possible school day based on when our supplier can accommodate
the request.
The Pine Grove Healthy Lunch Program is a school fundraiser in compliance with the Ministry requirements of
P/PM 150 and is run by parent volunteers. Please be courteous if there are any problems or concerns with the
program or the food.
