Purpose of Role/ Project: To assist the Transparency Toolkit Project Coordinator with the maintenance and development of the Sustainable Palm Oil Transparency
Toolkit (SPOTT), in addition to other tasks relevant to the palm oil transparency project.
Main tasks volunteer will be asked to undertake:

Research oil palm growers in line with research protocols, as guided by the Transparency Toolkit Project Coordinator, to assess growers on the transparency and environmental sustainability of their operations
2.
Maintain and update large amounts of data saved and catalogued on the ZSL server
3.
Support the palm oil transparency project team in engagement with oil palm growers and other key stakeholders to the palm oil industry.
Anticipated skills and experience that the volunteer will bring:

Support the preparation and distribution of promotional and educational material for ZSL publications, newsletters, brochures, posters, project information sheets and provision of regular updates for relevant web pages within the ZSL website.
An undergraduate level degree in a conservation related subject
A basis of understanding of the business and biodiversity conservation issues and familiarity with the palm oil industry
Self-motivation, attention to detail and meticulous research skills

Experience of how a conservation NGO operates
Interaction with staff in CP and ZSL’s wider programmes
