Proposal to offer an additional intake point of Trimester 2 at the
University Centre of Peterborough delivery site for 2014-15 only
The proposal is to support recruitment at a regional partner college
Administrative and academic support is in place to allow a January
intake for this course
No transitional arrangements required, new intake point for January
2014-15 only
With effect from January 2015
Approved subject to
submission of appropriately
revised CSF
A retrospective deletion for a course, the final cohort graduated in
September 2012

applicants
No transitional arrangements required, no current students
With effect from December 2014
Approved
A retrospective deletion for a course delivered full-time at Cambridge, the
final cohort graduated in September 2012
The course is also being run-out at Huntingdonshire Regional College
but at this time still has a single student remaining on the course,
therefore the course deletion at this delivery site will be requested at a
later date
No transitional arrangements required, no current students
With effect from December 2014

Proposal to change a course title
o Name of current title: Early Childhood Professional Studies
o Name of proposed title: Early Childhood Studies
The course is delivered at Chelmsford, Cambridge, University Centre
Harlow, University Centre Peterborough and College of West Anglia
The course was an amalgamation of BA (Hons) Early Childhood
Studies and BA (Hons) Early Years Professional Practice in 2013
The graduate role and status has changed from ‘Early Years
Professional Status’ to ‘Early Years Teacher’, and international
students searching for UK courses will be more likely to use the term
‘Early Childhood Studies, therefore the proposed title change will
better reflect the market and enable students to compare institutions
The title change will apply to new intakes, existing students will be
able to choose between course titles
With effect from December 2014
