About the programme: The MSc in Energy, Natural Resources and the Environment is a two year programme fully taught in English, and is part of the Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration programme at NHH. It is designed for highly motivated individuals, who want a high quality education to prepare them for one of the biggest future challenges to business and society; balancing the needs for energy and natural resources with those of the environment The general course plan for the MSc in Energy, Natural Resources and the Environment is as follows: 6 core courses from the Energy, Natural Resources and the Environment specialisation (45 ECTS). 6 elective courses selected among all the specialisations within the Master of Science programme at NHH (45 ECTS). It is recommended that 4 of these courses are selected from the same specialisation to allow a minor profile to be added to the degree. In addition to completing 12 courses, students must hand in a thesis (30 ECTS). Elective courses can be chosen from courses in the following specialisations: Strategy and management Marketing and Brand Management Business Analysis and Performance Management Economic Analysis Economics Financial Economic International Business Admission requirements: Admission is based on a university degree of at least three years of study beyond Norwegian minimum requirements for entrance to higher education (in Norway) with satisfactory results. Applicants should have at least one and a half years of previous studies in business administration and economics (this includes statistics, mathematics, accounting, finance, computing, management, and marketing). Please enclose an explanation of the grading scale used at your institution. NHH requires a GMAT or a GRE test. The minimum score requirement on the GMAT is 600 points, and for the GRE we require at least 660 points on the Quantitative reasoning section. Students from non-English speaking countries are required to have passed the TOEFL test with at least 575 points for the written test, 233 for the computer-based version or 90 points on the internet based test or the IELTS test with a minimum band score of 6.5. The NHH code number on GRE and TOEFL is 0686. This can be from former tutors or employers etc Students are admitted to the programme continuously during the spring semester. It is therefore recommended that the application and any other necessary documents are sent in as soon as possible. Tuition and fees As a member of the University Council in Norway, the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration does not charge any application or tuition fee. However, the students have to pay a small welfare fee, approximately NOK 680,- each semester. Accommodation Information will be sent to the candidates that are granted admission. Financial aid Please note that the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration does not offer any scholarships or other forms of financial support. Such assistance must be arranged by the students through official channels in their home country, or through some international organizations. However, citizens from some Central and Eastern European, Central Asian and developing countries who undergo education in Norway may be granted financial aid from "Lånekassen" (the State Educational Loan Fund in Norway) through the Quota programme. The aim of the programme is to provide students from these countries with relevant knowledge that can benefit their home countries when they return home after completing their studies. For students to be eligible for the Quota programme they must come from an educational institution in one of the countries covered by the programme with which NHH have an exchange agreement.
