General Math (2 nd , 4 th , and 5 th )
MONDAY- GAP- Order of Operations. (Supporting Skills for Standard 8.EE.7)
I can apply order of operations when solving expressions and equations. In order to review concepts missed shown through pre-tests, students will create a foldable that demonstrates and explains the rules for following Order of Operations. Students will assemble their Math Notebooks. Practice problems will be completed in their Math Notebook over the concept of Order of Operations.
Formative Assessment: Silent Poll Questioning
Tuesday- GAP-Order of Operations and Adding Integers. . (Supporting Skills for Standard 8.EE.7)
I can apply the rules for adding integers to solve expressions and equations. Students will make a foldable explaining the rules for adding integers. Models and examples of each type of problem will be conducted with students. Practice problems will be completed in their Math Notebook. Students will work cooperatively to complete a math puzzle over the concept of order of operations with positive integers.
Formative Assessment: Exit Slip: Adding Integers Practice.
Wednesday-GAP-Subtracting Integers. (Supporting Skills for Standard 8.EE.7)
I can use the rules for adding and subtracting integers to solve expressions. Students will continue to use their Math Notebook with information regarding subtracting integers. Students will use dry-erase markers to practice subtracting integers.
Formative Assessment: Observation through Subtracting Integers Practice.
Thursday- GAP Multiplication and Division of Integers. (Supporting Skills for Standard 8.EE.7)
I can use the rules for multiplying and dividing integers to solve multi-step expressions. Students will be taught devices to help them remember the rules for multiplication and division of integers. (tic, tac, toe, and sleepy man). Students will practice theses skills on a worksheet.

Friday- GAP Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division of Integers. (Supporting Skills for
Standard 8.EE.7)
I can use the rules for multiplying and dividing integers to solve multi-step expressions. Students will briefly review addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of integers. Students will then take a quiz over order of operations with positive and negative integers. Student will then complete a multistep expression puzzle over order of operations.
