Teacher recommendation is required for all math levels. This guide is the recommended sequence based on previous Irvington student performance. To graduate, students need 30 credits of math including both semesters of Algebra 1 (okay if completed in 7 th or 8th grade). Computer Support is the only non-college prep math class offered at Irvington that gives students general math credits for graduation. Beginning with the class on 2015, the UCs and CSUs will require that students take a geometry class (okay if completed in 7 th or 8th grade). Students will no longer be able to use a higher level math class to validate the geometry requirement.
