DEPARTMENT OF KNOWLEDGE, EXCHANGE AND INTERNATIONAL
COOPERATION
INTRODUCTON
The Department of Knowledge ,Exchange and International Cooperation was
established on 18/11/1436 H ( 23/09/2013) by the decision of the University Rector with
a view to developing administration and academic works in all sector of university
according to prepare ambitious plane. The plan aims to attain cognitive distinction level
in scientific research and university outputs, through cooperation with local and
international universities as well as other sectors.
The department is administratively linked to the university Rector, Professor Saeed bin
Omar Al Omar and technically linked with the nature of the work with Dr. Shaysh
Almhows.
VISION
We seek distinction and leadership in the field of international cooperation and
exchange of knowledge to improve the ranking of the university academically and
administratively.
MISSION
Establishment of experience and increasing the level of cooperation and partnership in
all fields with the local and international universities.
OBJECTIVES




Encourage exchanges and visits of faculty and students with other universities.
Facilitate the process of cooperation and liaison between NBU colleges and
other universities and sectors.
Promote collaboration with other universities and sectors in areas of scientific
research; joint project; and students, staff, & faculty training.
Assist NBU lecturers, through collaboration with the deanship of graduate
studies, in obtaining admissions for graduate studies in international universities.
DUTIES



Communicate with internal and external bodies concerned with international
cooperation and knowledge exchange.
Communicate and coordinate with other NBU colleges, deanships, and
administrations to identify and determine their needs of local and international
cooperation.
Visit local and international universities and other sectors to discuss ways of
furthering cooperation.




Contact the Saudi cultural missions all over the world to obtain information about
the universities NBU plans to cooperate with.
Participate in conferences of international universities held locally and abroad.
Prepare and formulate drafts of memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and
service contracts.
Prepare annual reports on the department activities and MOUs & service
contracts that NBU prepares and signs domestically and internationally.
STRATEGY
The department of knowledge Exchange and international Cooperation supports the
university planes of improving its ranking at all levels, through opening new and wide
horizons for cooperation in all fields with the best universities in the world.
NBU has prepared different memorandum of understanding and service contract with
USA, Japan, Turkey, Australia and other universities around.
In addition we are also working with the domestic universes to share the knowledge.
The department of Knowledge and Exchange of International Cooperation seeks to
effect these agreements in accordance with the NBU aspiration and expectation for the
future.
